Charlie Marc Wrenn was one of my first great friends whom I have never met in person. He was a door opener, reader, thinker, and a maker. He inspired me to make more of my Holiday Cards because he liked them so much which motivated and moved me. There is so much more to this story but Marc passed away this year devastating all that knew him and some who knew they were lucky enough to share or cross a path with him. 1959-2019. Miss you brother and I am grateful for all you brought to the table--godspeed!

Design Intent:
I wanted to keep the sketch of Marc really loose like an abstraction that Marc has left our reality--ghosting. I keep the matters he loved most from what I knew of him, looking for him. Looking for him, like when you gaze upon the vastness of the sea mesmerized by your own thoughts...contemplating the unexplainable at times.

Marc and his seaworthy dory beyond are facing head on--matters that be.

The sailboat almost on the horizon with seagulls circling, moves onward in the sublime sea.

I had to give Frosty his fishing pole and I think Marc would have enjoyed the skeleton fish hanging from it.

The 2019 Holiday Card is because of Marc, Fisherman Wrenn! Cheers mate wherever you may roam.
